Sheila Finch’s luminous land and waterscapes are powerful.
Sheila Finch's luminous sky, land and waterscapes are powerful elegant images of California. While color is vibrant and stirring, the overall images portray a sense of strength, peace and tranquility.
Finch has earned numerous awards, including recognition from the National Arts Appreciation Program and a prestigious show of work at the L’Espace Bateau Lavior in Paris. Her success in the fine arts has been documented over the years by Gold River Scene Magazine, from 1997 cover feature entitled, “Art and The Passion for Collecting,” as well as a later article, “Sheila Finch, An Appreciation.” Her painting entitled “Strands of Gold” is featured on the book cover of The Land's Wild Music: Encounters with Barry Lopez, Peter Matthiessen, Terry Tempest Williams, & James Galvin, by Mark Tredinnick.
The artist’s paintings are included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and Europe.
